Huckabee can and will compete with Obama for the votes of conservative African-Americans, as evidenced by this:

Unfortunately, this video was pulled from YouTube. It consisted of Tavis Smiley on his radio program just raving about Gov. Huckabee for several minutes (maybe 10?). Now, one would probably have to subscribe to the premium access package in order to hear the podcast of the show. Smiley speaks to the fact that Huckabee is very comfortable with black Americans and won nearly 50% of the black vote in Arkansas, which has probably not been done by any other Republican in modern history.
